Space tourism and private spaceflight
‘Fly me to the Moon!’ Who has not, earlier or later, dreamt of going to outer space? One of the most exciting new developments around, space tourism or more broadly private spaceflight brings forward many legal, policy and political questions in addition to the more general ones relevant for space transportation. How do international public and national legal laws and policies interact? What lessons can, and cannot, be drawn from such other sectors as aviation or adventure tourism? How to balance the interests of private operators, private customers and public authorities? How do market principles impact this as yet immature business?
The experience available to Black Holes in this area is drawn from a number of studies, as Black Holes is in the forefront of addressing the legal, policy and political questions which these new ventures bring with them.
